Temple Site
On February 23, 2026, the location of the Santiago Philippines Temple was announced as a 14.47-acre site located east of Camella Isabella Main Road in the Malvar neighborhood (barangay) of Santiago. Plans call for a single-story, 18,850 square-foot temple along with a patron housing facility, distribution center, and meetinghouse.1
Temple Announcement
On October 2, 2022, President Russell M. Nelson announced plans to construct the Santiago Philippines Temple at the October 2022 General Conference. Located about 225 miles northeast of Manila, the temple is the tenth announced for the Philippines. At the time of its announcement, there were nine temples in the country that were announced, under construction, or dedicated including the Alabang Philippines Temple, Bacolod Philippines Temple, Cagayan de Oro Philippines Temple, Cebu City Philippines Temple, Davao Philippines Temple, Manila Philippines Temple, Naga Philippines Temple, Tacloban City Philippines Temple, and Urdaneta Philippines Temple.2
