Temporary Welcome Center Opens at the Fairview Texas Temple Site

Sunday, June 21, 2026
During the construction of the Fairview Texas Temple, visitors are invited to learn about the project and the purpose of temples at a temporary on-site Welcome Center. Construction of the temple commenced earlier this year following a groundbreaking ceremony held in February. The Fairview Town Council approved plans for a revised version of the temple following discussions with Church representatives that resulted in a reduction of the proposed steeple height from 174 feet to 120 feet. More recently, the mayor has asked the Church to consider a further reduction in the steeple's height to better reflect Fairview's small-town character.
