  <description><![CDATA[Friday, May 8, 2026<p>Site preparations continue at the property where the Naga Philippines Temple will be constructed. A new construction barrier has been installed, the site has been cleared of brush and debris, and structural fill is being added and compacted across the property. Once these preparations are complete, a date for the groundbreaking ceremony will be announced.   <description><![CDATA[Thursday, May 7, 2026<p>Temperatures are beginning to rise in Alaska’s largest city where work has commenced on the entrance hardscape for the new Anchorage Alaska Temple. A raised crosswalk will connect the temple and future meetinghouse, intersected by a landscaped median that will separate lanes of on-site traffic.   <description><![CDATA[Thursday, May 7, 2026<p>The structural walls for the basement and baptismal font of the Tampa Florida Temple are now in place, and crews have begun installing concrete footings for the temple’s main floor. Underground utility work has been completed, and shipments of structural steel are arriving on site in preparation for heavy framing.   <description><![CDATA[Monday, May 4, 2026<p>A public open house for the Montpelier Idaho Temple will be held this September from Thursday, September 10, through Saturday, September 26, 2026 (excluding Sundays). The open house will commence with a media day held on Tuesday, September 8, followed by private tours for invited guests on September 9. Much of the temple exterior has been clad in stone, and crews have begun work on the surrounding hardscape. Current activities include excavation, layout work with chalk lines, and installation of new fencing. On the west side, framing is in place for the rear portico, where those who have been sealed will exit to greet family and friends.   <description><![CDATA[Monday, April 27, 2026<p>An updated rendering for the Buenos Aires City Center Argentina Temple reveals a redesigned and repositioned steeple. The original multitiered tower with a tapering gold spire has been replaced by a slender, needle-like spire that rises above the front center section of the building. The multistory temple will be constructed on a former parking lot at the intersection of Avenida Córdoba and Reconquista in the San Nicolás neighborhood of downtown Buenos Aires. The dewatering process poses no flood risk and does not impact the deep aquifers used for irrigation and drinking water. Once the foundation is in place, active pumping will transition to a passive, gravity-fed French drain system.
