Construction of the temple began in the early months of 2024 and is expected to continue into 2027.

The original multitiered tower with a tapering gold spire has been replaced by a slender, needle-like spire that rises above the front center section of the building. The multistory temple will be constructed on a former parking lot at the intersection of Avenida Córdoba and Reconquista in the San Nicolás neighborhood of downtown Buenos Aires. The 1.56-acre site will also feature a reproduction of the Christus statue.
