During construction of the Jacksonville Florida Temple, visitors are welcome to meet with the temple site missionaries at the Welcome Center, located at 3323 Loretto Road, Jacksonville, Florida. Guests may come during regular hours or schedule an appointment for evenings, weekends, or holidays.

Arrival Instructions
Use your navigation system to search for "Jacksonville LDS Temple" to arrive at the temple site. As you approach, watch for orange traffic cones and a small Welcome Center sign, which mark Temple View Lane. Turn on the street and proceed past the first construction trailer. Continue beyond the construction site to the back of the property, where the Welcome Center trailer is located.
The visitor parking area is located just beyond the Welcome Center trailer and is marked by a blue parking sign with an arrow. Please park behind the trailer with the other parked vehicles. From there, walk through the opening in the fence and up the stairs to the Welcome Center entrance.
Groundbreaking Ceremony
Elder Massimo De Feo, First Counselor in the United States Southeast Area Presidency, presided at the groundbreaking ceremony for the Jacksonville Florida Temple on Saturday, January 24, 2026. "We pray that this sacred place will become a refuge for the weary, a place of revelation and a symbol of Thy love," he said in his site dedicatory prayer. The temple will be the fifth constructed in Florida.1
Temple Rendering
On December 16, 2024, an exterior rendering of the Jacksonville Florida Temple was released to the public.2
Temple Site
On February 20, 2024, the location for the Jacksonville Florida Temple was announced as a 6.6-acre property located at 3323 Loretto Road in Jacksonville. Plans call for a single-story building of approximately 29,000 square feet.3
Temple Announcement
On October 2, 2022, President Russell M. Nelson announced plans to construct the Jacksonville Florida Temple at the October 2022 General Conference. The temple will be the fifth in the state. There are more than 160,000 Latter-day Saints and more than 280 congregations in Florida. Jacksonville is located in the northeastern portion of the state. Other temples in the state at the time of the announcement included the Orlando Florida Temple, Fort Lauderdale Florida Temple, Tallahassee Florida Temple (under construction) and Tampa Florida Temple (announced).4
