The Tampa Florida Temple is currently in the planning stages. No groundbreaking date has been announced.

Renderings of the Tampa Florida Temple and site plan have not yet been publicly released.
Temple Site
On October 31, 2022, the location of the Tampa Florida Temple was announced as a 16.2-acre site adjacent to an existing meetinghouse at 4806 Bell Shoals Road in Valrico. Plans call for a single-story temple of approximately 30,000 square feet.1
Temple Announcement
On April 3, 2022, President Russell M. Nelson announced plans to construct the Tampa Florida Temple at the April 2022 General Conference. Located in Central Florida, the Tampa Florida Temple will be the state’s fourth. There are more than 160,000 Latter-day Saints and some 260 congregations in the state. Other temples in operation or under construction at the time of the announcement were the Orlando Florida Temple, Fort Lauderdale Florida Temple, and Tallahassee Florida Temple.2
