155th Operating Temple Dedicated in Suburban Hartford, Connecticut

President Henry B. Eyring of the First Presidency presided at today's dedication of the Hartford Connecticut Temple. At Saturday evening's youth cultural celebration, he told the youth "that this temple in Hartford is an important part of the marvelous work of Heavenly Father and His Beloved Son, Jesus Christ, to bring the light of the gospel into your lives and the lives of thousands of others."

Hartford Temple To Be Dedicated in Two Weeks

Tens of thousands toured the beautiful new Hartford Connecticut Temple during its three-week public open house. The temple will be dedicated in three sessions on Sunday, November 20, following a youth cultural celebration.

Public Welcome at Hartford Connecticut Temple

Pedestrian Gate Will Allow Access to the Hartford Connecticut Temple Grounds

A new photograph of the Hartford Connecticut Temple shows an opening in the stone perimeter wall along Route 4, which will give pedestrians access to the landscaped temple grounds. The concrete pillars that stand beyond the opening will be faced with granite and will serve as both lampposts and anchors to the decorative gate that will be installed between them. Construction of the temple is expected to be completed before the end of this year.
