Parking Lot Expansion at the Cedar City Utah Temple

The level of ordinance work at the Cedar City Utah Temple has remained high since its dedication almost two years ago. To accommodate the demand, the number of endowment sessions offered per day has increased to fourteen. With the closure of the St. George Utah Temple next month, even more sessions will be offered, and the number of parking spaces is being increased. Construction work is already underway on creating an additional lot.

President Eyring Dedicates the Cedar City Utah Temple

President Henry B. Eyring presided over the dedication of the Cedar City Utah Temple today—the 17th temple constructed in Utah and the 159th dedicated temple in operation in the world. Elder Jeffrey R. Holland, a Southern Utah native, was also in attendance.

Open House Tours Conclude for Cedar City Utah Temple

The final tours for the public open house of the were held today. The youth cultural celebration will be held in three weeks at Centrum Arena, featuring thousands of area youth. The temple dedication will follow the next day on Sunday, December 10.

First Art Glass Installed in the Tower of the Cedar City Utah Temple

Newly installed art glass is adding to the stateliness of the Cedar City Utah Temple tower, which was capped by a gold-leafed statue of the angel Moroni just under a month ago. Landscaping efforts continue around the temple grounds where visitors can spy large landscaping rocks, retaining walls, decorative fence posts and lamp posts, and extensive asphalt and concrete curbing. Plenty of work remains on the interior of the temple, which is in the preliminary stages of construction.
