HOLINESS TO THE LORD
THE HOUSE OF THE LORD

"To accomplish this work there will have to be not only one temple but thousands of them, and thousands and tens of thousands of men and women will go into those temples and officiate for people who have lived as far back as the Lord shall reveal."
—Brigham Young

Exterior Cladding of the Santa Cruz Bolivia Temple Underway

A youth group from the Los Chacos Ward recently visited the Santa Cruz Bolivia Temple construction site. Stone cladding has been secured to the north side of the temple, and work is progressing on the west side. Hipped roofs have been installed over each of the four wings, which will be covered with terracotta-style roof tiles, coordinating with the tiles on the pyramidal cupola at the top of the tower.

Scaffolding Surrounds the Kaohsiung Taiwan Temple Steeple

Scaffolding has been assembled around the steeple frame of the Kaohsiung Taiwan Temple and covered with debris netting. The reinforced concrete structure has risen over the past year on a grassy field next to the stake center for the Kaohsiung Taiwan North Stake. Taiwan is a beautiful island that lies approximately 100 miles (160 km) off the coast of southeastern China and 155 miles (250 km) from the northern tip of the main island of the Philippines.

Hanging the Exterior Cladding Panels for the Port Vila Vanuatu Temple

The steeple frame for the Port Vila Vanuatu Temple has been erected, and the first precast cladding panels have been hung on the exterior. The panels are ornamented with a textured pattern around the windows and on either side of the arched opening to the main entrance. The flag of Vanuatu hangs from the hook of a nearby crane, consisting of horizontal stripes of red and green separated by black and gold bands that form a "Y" on the left side. On the black triangular field are two crossed leaves encircled by a pig's tusk.
