Following the recent passing of President Joseph Leece, the First Presidency has called Michael A. and Carol R. Rigby to serve as the new president and matron of the . President Rigby had previously been serving as the second counselor in the presidency.

On Tuesday, May 19, 2009, the BYU Singers performed a free concert in the chapel at the site of the Preston England Temple. The talented group performed for the public—anyone interested in hearing the fabulous sound of the BYU Singers.
