Elder Steven C. Barlow, a member of the South America Northwest Area Presidency, will preside at the groundbreaking ceremony for the Piura Peru Temple on Saturday, November 14, 2026. The single-story temple of approximately 18,850 square feet (1,750 square meters) will rise on a 2.6-acre site located northwest of the intersection of Avenida Tallanes and Avenida Prolongación in Piura. Plans call for an accompanying ancillary building.

The location of the Piura Peru Temple has been announced as a 2.6-acre site located northwest of the intersection of Avenida Tallanes and Avenida Prolongación in Piura, Peru. Plans call for a single-story temple of approximately 18,850 square feet and an accompanying ancillary building. The official exterior rendering for the temple has also been published. There are currently four dedicated temples in Peru and six more in the planning stages. No groundbreaking date has been announced yet.
