Minor Renovation Underway for the Melbourne Australia Temple
The Melbourne Australia Temple closed last week for a minor renovation project that will bring changes to the area where the foyer, non-patron waiting room, and guest bathrooms are located. Interior finishes and furnishings will also be refreshed. The temple is scheduled to resume service in early December of this year. Since the project is not a major renovation, no open house or rededication will be held.
Fourteen More Phase 1 Reopenings Announced
Eighteen temples reopen today, and fourteen more will reopen next Monday in locations across Australia, Canada, Japan, the Netherlands, and the United States, bringing the total of reopened temples to 66. All temples that have reopened are operating under phase 1, which permits husband-and-wife sealings by appointment only—always following government regulations on group size and social distancing.
