Temples of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints

The angel Moroni statue atop the east central spire of the Las Vegas Nevada Temple was recently removed and regilded with gold leaf before being returned to its prominent position. The temple was dedicated in 1989, making it 36 years old in December. It currently serves members from 32 stakes located in Southern Nevada and Northwestern Arizona. A second temple for the city is currently under construction in the Lone Mountain neighborhoood.

A recently completed renovation of the grounds of the Las Vegas Nevada Temple has reconfigured the east side with a new plaza and walkways featuring beautiful pavers laid in a herringbone pattern. The temple, which was dedicated on December 16, 1989, marks its 30th anniversary next month.
