Temples of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints

The First Presidency announced today that four temples are being carefully prepared to begin Phase 3 of reopening as early as December 21, 2020. They are the Apia Samoa Temple, Brisbane Australia Temple, Nuku'alofa Tonga Temple, and Taipei Taiwan Temple. Phase 3 includes everything allowed in Phases 1 and 2 with the addition of temple work on behalf of deceased individuals. These temples were selected because they are located in areas where the incidence of COVID-19 is low and local public health guidelines can be met.
