Landscaping Progress on the Grounds of the Londrina Brazil Temple
Landscaping efforts are making steady progress at the Londrina Brazil Temple, as the site transitions from an active construction zone into a more refined and welcoming setting. Flowerbeds are taking shape and early plantings are taking root, including young trees that will frame the temple and provide future shade. As work continues, the grounds will reflect the peaceful, manicured landscape envisioned for the final design.
Santiago West Chile Temple Will Be the City’s Second
The second temple to be constructed in Santiago, Chile, continues to rise in the commune of Maipú, with construction beginning just under 41 years after the dedication of the first temple in the city. The Santiago Chile Temple holds the distinction of being the first built in a Spanish-speaking country and the second in South America. With significant growth in Church membership in the region, the Santiago West Chile Temple will serve members on the west side of the metropolitan area.
Montpelier Idaho Temple Open House and Dedication Announced
A public open house for the Montpelier Idaho Temple will be held this September from Thursday, September 10, through Saturday, September 26, 2026 (excluding Sundays). The open house will commence with a media day held on Tuesday, September 8, followed by private tours for invited guests on September 9. The temple will be dedicated on Sunday, October 18, at 10:00 a.m. with a rebroadcast at 2:00 p.m. The dedicatory session will be broadcast to all units in the temple district.
Elder Renlund Dedicates the Davao Philippines Temple
"Because of what we do in the temple, we gain strength to endure and prosper outside of the temple," said Elder Dale G. Renlund of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles at the dedication of the Davao Philippines Temple on Sunday, May 3, 2026. "We create greater power to resist temptation and to repent. We receive hope, comfort, and strength to withstand mortality’s trials better," he said.
