Temples of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints

The groundbreaking ceremony for the Santos Brazil Temple will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2026. Elder Ronald M. Barcellos, of the Brazil Area Presidency, will preside at the event. The temple will be constructed on the site of the Jabaquara Ward meetinghouse, located at Avenida Doutor Waldemar Leão, 305. Plans call for a two-story building of approximately 23,000 square feet.

There are two dedicated temples in the state of São Paulo with three more in the planning stages, including the Santos Brazil Temple, the São Paulo East Brazil Temple, and the Ribeirao Preto Brazil Temple.
