Site preparations are underway on the 16.74-acre property where the Osaka Japan Temple will be constructed. The site, formerly occupied by a campus of Osaka International University, once featured several multistory buildings that have since been demolished, leaving only a retaining wall and staircase. Plans call for both the temple and an ancillary building to be constructed on the property, though a groundbreaking date has not yet been announced.

Heavy equipment at the Osaka Japan Temple site is carrying out demolition of the existing buildings and hardscape to make way for the temple. The two-story temple of approximately 34,320 square feet will be constructed on a 10-acre property located at at 3-50-1 Sugi, Hirakata City in the Osaka prefecture of Japan. An ancillary building will also be constructed on site. This will be the fifth house of the Lord constructed in Japan.
