There are currently 8 temples that are undergoing major renovation. Following each renovation, the temple will be opened to the public for an open house before being rededicated for ordinance work.

San Diego California Temple
45th dedicated temple in operation; closed for renovation; preparing for public open house beginning 18 June 2026
Anchorage Alaska Temple
54th dedicated temple in operation; open during renovation; exterior cladding underway
Salt Lake Temple
4th dedicated temple in operation; closed for renovation; preparing for public open house beginning 5 April 2027
Kona Hawaii Temple
70th dedicated temple in operation; closed for renovation; exterior cladding and interior framing underway; baptismal font concrete support poured
Manhattan New York Temple
119th dedicated temple in operation; closed for renovation; refacing the exterior walls; installing new roof; interior renovation progressing
Stockholm Sweden Temple
34th dedicated temple in operation; closed for renovation; structural framing topped out; roof decking installed; building enclosed
Orlando Florida Temple
46th dedicated temple in operation; closed for renovation; interior renovation progressing
Provo Utah Rock Canyon Temple
15th dedicated temple in operation; closed for renovation; cladding and sheathing the exterior; installing windows; hardscaping of the grounds underway
