Groundbreaking Ceremony Held for the Natal Brazil Temple

"Here today begins the greatest spiritual transformation this city has ever seen," said Antonio Carlos Bastos Ferreira, a pioneering member of the Church in the Natal region, at the groundbreaking ceremony for the Natal Brazil Temple on Saturday, May 17, 2025. Elder Mark D. Eddy, Second Counselor in the Brazil Area Presidency, presided at the event. In his site dedicatory prayer, he said: "We humbly plead with Thee to increase our desire to be personally prepared to receive this temple."

May Groundbreaking Announced for the Natal Brazil Temple

Elder Mark D. Eddy, Second Counselor in the Brazil Area Presidency, will preside at the groundbreaking event for the Natal Brazil Temple on Saturday, May 17, 2025. This house of the Lord will be erected on a 5.53-acre site located on Avenida Senador Salgado Filho (BR-101) in the Nova Parnamirim neighborhood of the Natal suburb of Parnamirim. Plans call for a single-level temple of approximately 19,800 square feet.

Exterior Rendering Published for the Natal Brazil Temple

An exterior rendering of the Natal Brazil Temple was released to the public today. The temple will be constructed on a 5.53-acre site located on Av. Senador Salgado Filho (BR-101) in the Nova Parnamirim neighborhood of Parnamirim, a suburb of Natal. Plans call for a single-story temple of approximately 19,800 square feet. It will be the first temple built in the state of Rio Grande do Norte.

The site for the Natal Brazil Temple has been announced as a 5.53-acre property located on Av. Senador Salgado Filho (BR-101) in the Nova Parnamirim neighborhood of Parnamirim, a suburb of Natal. Plans call for a single-story temple of approximately 19,800 square feet. No exterior rendering has been released, and no groundbreaking date has been announced. It will be the first temple built in the state of Rio Grande do Norte, located on Brazil's easternmost Atlantic coast.
