Coeur d'Alene Idaho Temple Design Plans Approved with Conditions
Plans for the Coeur d'Alene Idaho Temple and meetinghouse were approved with conditions yesterday by the Coeur d'Alene Design Review Commission, following a lengthy presentation and discussion. The proposed exterior lighting generated concern at the public hearing, but the commissioners were impressed with the plans and said that they would work with the design firm to determine the best course of action regarding the architectural lighting.
Amendment Approved by City Council for Coeur d'Alene Idaho Temple
The Coeur d'Alene City Council unanimously approved an amendment to the Coeur Terre Annexation and Development Agreement this week, changing the designation of the 10.91-acre site of the future Coeur d'Alene Idaho Temple from "Urban Townhomes" to "Religious Assembly" in the Conceptual Master Plan. The property is located at the corner of Hanley Avenue and Coeur Terre Boulevard on the western side of the city.
Location and Rendering Released for the Coeur d'Alene Idaho Temple
The location of the Coeur d'Alene Idaho Temple has been announced as a 10.91-acre property located at the corner of Hanley Avenue and Coeur Terre Boulevard on the western side of Coeur d'Alene. Plans call for a single-story temple of approximately 29,630 square feet, a meetinghouse, and an accompanying ancillary building. An exterior rendering of the temple has also been published, but no groundbreaking date has been announced.
