Exterior Walls Rising for the Abidjan Côte d'Ivoire Temple
With the foundation walls for the Abidjan Côte d'Ivoire Temple poured, cured, and backfilled, a tower crane has been erected on site to assist crews who are setting rebar, placing wall forms, and filling form cavities with concrete to create the exterior walls of the temple. Foundation Work for the Abidjan Côte d'Ivoire Temple
Work on the foundation for the Abidjan Côte d'Ivoire Temple has reached its final stages. Observation of the construction progress is hindered by the surrounding construction barrier, but a mound of excavation dirt can be seen along the north side of the property. Once the foundation is completed, work will begin on the temple's superstructure.
Digging Post Holes at the Abidjan Côte d'Ivoire Temple Site
Subcontractors have arrived at the Abidjan Côte d'Ivoire Temple site to erect a construction barrier around the property beginning with digging holes for the fence poles. The temple will be constructed on the back lot of the stake center for the Cocodoy Côte d'Ivoire Stake.

Elder Neil L. Andersen of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles presided today over the groundbreaking ceremony for the Abidjan Côte d'Ivoire Temple. It is the sixth temple to be constructed on the continent of Africa.

Ivorian members are making their final preparations for tomorrow's groundbreaking ceremony for the Abidjan Côte d'Ivoire Temple, the first to be constructed in the country. The temple will be located behind the stake center for the Cocody Cote I'voire Stake.

The groundbreaking ceremony for the Abidjan Côte d'Ivoire Temple has been announced for Thursday, November 8, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. The temple site is located in the commune of Cocody. Attendance at the services is by invitation only, but the general public is invited to view the proceedings live at local meetinghouses.
